Tema: Demo to live help

First off I want to say thanks for all of the answers and ideas!
Any way to start it short my friend started me Forex about a month ago. I've been using ACM trading and have put up a demo account. At this stage I am considering opening a miniature 2k-5k account. I was wondering about going from Demo to Live, if some of you have pointers , I was wondering if some of you can give me a bit more insight on that idea and read about the significant gap between demo and live!

Or this one. Demo - you play with video game and swim with the sharks. Actual - you really swim with the sharks without a protective cage or gear. That's the difference in intensity, from fake money to real money.

The big distinction is reflected purely on your plogy and what you think about yourself and your odds of succeeding. With a account, you will not impact the market in any perceptible way. Since”market effect” is no problem, your success will be summed up in the way you are able to manage the changes in your equity. Each time you demo trade, imagine if this was your hard-earned cash you begin rising and diminishing. You would experience some type of emotion which could enable you change or to change your trading plan on the fly to survive the drawdown. So, whenever you make the transition, start very, very small until you can manage the fact that nothing has really changed. The spreads will be the same and your odds of success are loed in 1 area -- yourself.

This is a question and you could do more at the bottom of your ribbon to get threads. You will see lots of comments on the subject. My opinion is that a demo account is fun and it's easy to shut a losing trade because the money does not matter. A dwell account might be controlled by fear and greed instead of impartial analytical judgement. Here is an example: I started a demo account to get a relation and it's been doing nicely. I set term transactions and sometimes examine it. Since I know she is not interested I really don't worry about it!

Thank You Smikester! Ya my main concern was that I am doing well on my demo account in about 3 months of activity I have made close to 6-7k above the base of 5k for a mini account. The main reason I asked is because I read about the gap between demo and I guess what I am attempting to get at is what gains am I to expect from the demo in comparison? Thanks!

If I were you, I would go to a loion that'd Micro Lots and put trades with half the size you would normally use to have a feel for what its like to see real cash going up/down on your account. Move up yourself to the miniature, As soon as you're comfortable with that. Mini = 10k... Micro = 1k. So that you transition from demo to live extremely well, just do 10 micro lots for the identical trade as buying/selling one miniature lot. However, as others have stated, it's a whole new ballgame.
